Along with being born and raised in the Charleston area, Image Homes owner and founder Carl Owens, has been in the homebuilding business for over 13 years. While earning a degree in Consrtuction Science and Management and minor in business from Clemson University, Carl began his construction career by framing houses in resort nieghborhoods on and around the Lake Keowee, Hartwell and Jocassee areas. Learning the trades of construction from ground level and up has served as an extremely valuable tool and learning device for the success of Image Homes. With all of his "in the field training" Carl believes very strongly in a hands on construction experience, and he will be found daily on every site giving each the personal attention it deserves.

After graduating from Clemson University, Carl went on to work with, a national homebuilder here in the Charleston area. In three years with that builder, he built over 200 homes, learned the importance of scheduling and was in control of the construction of two area neighborhoods. With the turn in the housing market in 2001, Carl saw the opportunity to venture out on his own into the Charleston custom market and the rest is history. Today Image Homes builds all over the East Cooper area from the Old Village to Hibben. To add to his portfolio Image Homes has become an approved builder in Daniel Island Park and Smythe Park on Daniel Island. With home prices ranging from $500,000 up to and above $3 million.

Carl resides in Mount Pleasant with his beautiful wife of three years, Ashley and their three dogs (two Gordon Setters, Millie and Dizzy and a black Lab, Geechee.) He spends his spare time as an avid bird hunter, offshore fishing, Clemson football, and spending time in the NC mountains with Ashley's family.
